Kate Shela & Amber Ryan-2

Beloved Woman

Ashes to Ashes is 5 years old this year. 1 whole hand.
Cross culturally the hand is a symbol and talisman that folks believe offers
protection, brings goodness, abundance, fertility, luck and good health.
The amulet consists of five spread fingers, the hand of healing,
the hand of companionship and is often depicted with an eye on the hand.

With eyes wide open, we have been shedding and growing new skins,
transmuting poisons and harvesting honies.
Listening and resting, getting dressed and undressed.
Hoping, cursing, dancing, praying and longing.

Knowing all of that, this year, we are wholeheartedly choosing
to turn our gaze to meet and taste our sensual sexual healing,
our embodied health and expression. Allowing Ashes to be a time of fine tuning
and embracing succulence. We deserve to treat and pleasure ourselves
so we can bathe in the life force and wellbeing of our imagination in every way we dream.
To luxuriate in the gift of our bodies, our senses and the expression
of how that innate personal pulsation and river moves us in unique, bounteous, tender ways.
Our sensual health is a guiding rod into our seeing and becoming.

Alongside Kate + Amber this year and supporting our journey,
guest artists Sibyl Buck and Rie Katagiri will inspire and guide us
into our sensual health in ways known and unknown. Creating neural love pathways
and practices that we can draw upon for the rest of our aging days.
And Dr. Tiffany Grimes will offer a poetic knowledge moment for held wholeness and sharing.

Each of us Women are called to embody our archetypal transformers.
Your presence is requested.
Our hands are outstretched.

Ashes to Ashes online, is a brave sacred space open to all those who identify as woman, regardless of sex assigned at birth or gender expression. We also welcome non-binary people who sometimes, partially, or historically identify as woman. We would also like to extend an invitation to women and non-binary Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC).

The Team

Kate Shela + Amber Ryan are evolutionary movement artists in service to the emergence of each person who shows up in their laboratories. They curate sonic movement journeys and containers that weave the ever changing human into becoming accountable and fluid, leader-full and in-sight full. Kate + Amber are steeped in 35 years of dance, ceremony, literature, fashion, theater, strength, and humor. The 360 Emergence awakens its 10,000 eyes to see from every perspective, to walk the worlds between ordinary and non ordinary reality. We invite you to join this movement moment.

Sibyl Buck weaves her passion for science and research on trauma, brain chemicals, and the nervous system into a blend of restorative yoga, pranayama, and guided visualization that she calls Regenerative Integration. Sibyl believes that through deep release, self-nurturing and presence, we can access a source of self-healing within us, which subtly but profoundly reshapes the experience of our lives. She has been teaching for 12 years and is known as a compassionate teacher whose love for her students is palpable.
