Dr. Lindsey Richardson is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of British Columbia, where she holds the Canada Research Chair in Social Inclusion and Health Equity. She has worked in politics and public policy for the Canadian federal government and the municipal government in Vancouver, Canada, and has masterโs and doctoral degrees from the University of Oxford. Her academic research is dedicated to the social, economic and health-related well-being for disadvantaged populations, with particular focus on solutions-oriented, policy-relevant research that supports inclusive policies and practices that reduce harm.
As a scholar and 20-year movement veteran, Lindsey draws on her experiences of research, teaching, and leadership to develop innovative approaches to the facilitation of self-knowledge, embodiment and actualization. She is a map-maker, wordsmith and social architect whose capacities support the development and articulation of personal and institutional value systems and leadership visions. In The 360 Emergence circle she grounds these systems and visions somatically to leverage the embodied wisdom produced by movement practice for individual, social, organizational and structural transformation.
